ANZAPS 2023 – Curtin University, Perth WA 3 and 4 July 2023
Planning for climate change has long been a key focus in planning curricula. The ANZAPS charter voices an aspiration for the “planning discipline to operate as a multidisciplinary platform enabling relevant professionals and communities to collaborate in addressing climate change and their environment”.
Curtin University invites you to participate in the ANZAPS 2023 conference to discuss:
HOW CAN PLANNING EDUCATION AND RESEARCH DEVELOP PLANNERS’ CAPACITY TO SHAPE EFFECTIVE PATHWAYS TO CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION AND MITIGATION?
We are calling academics and researchers to submit their insights, experiences and thoughts on any (or all) of the following questions:
- How to embed strategies to cope with uncertainty and maladaptation in climate responses in teaching?
- What methodologies and tools are required to enable planning for climate change?
- How can we build climate action networks through our teaching?
- What are strategies for effective communication about climate change in the classroom?
The ANZAPS 2023 conference will take place both online and face-to-face on the 3-4 of July 2023 at our Curtin Campus in Perth, WA. The conference is immediately followed by the 2023 Institute of Australian Geographers Conference, also held in Perth.
